Currently the Chief Strategist & Director of Equity, Inclusion, Systemic Change, and the Other Bets at Alphabet/Google, Bhimani leads, partners with, and enables equity, inclusion, and systemic change at the Other Bets, Alphabet’s Moonshot start-up companies. Working with CEOs and executives, she creates and executes long-term, sustainable, operational, and systemic EID policies, aligning organizational and business needs, goals, and objectives.
Spearheading interdisciplinary teams across multiple moonshot companies, Bhimani enhances their ability to tackle high-impact areas that yield tangible equitable outcomes. This
involves shaping the design and impact of their technologies on the world, as well as cultivating their organizational culture, structures, systems, and processes.
As CEO of Relational: Global Institute for Research, Consulting, and Education, Bhimani’s mission was to collaboratively create innovative pathways for realizing equity, inclusion, and representation within institutions, communities, and organizations, which led to positive change and client transformations. Additionally, Bhimani designed and facilitated cross-regional interactive workshops focusing on racial healing, DEI competency, and profile development.
As a forward-thinking leader, Bhimani aims to unlock the biases and barriers in the systems that block people from achieving the best outcomes. She understands diverse teams as a necessary component to advance the progression of technologies. Through the evolution and innovation of tech, she strives to continue facilitating conversations and strategies that inspire and elevate positive change and intentional solutions.
With a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and Women & Gender Studies, a master’s degree in Environmental Studies–Women and Globalization, and PH.D. in Curriculum, Teaching and Learning–Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Bhimani builds upon her credibility as an innovator and researcher, creating necessary strategies that disrupt the status quo of today to contribute to the inclusive outcomes of tomorrow.
