Jesika Ruiz is a purpose-driven People Leader certified as a Senior Human Resources Professional (SHRM-SCP) and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). Throughout her 25-year career, Ruiz has been on a mission to shape empathetic spaces, foster collaborative environments, and expand inclusivity within and beyond the workplace.

As the Senior Director of Human Resources at Peachtree Church, Ruiz is actively engaged in enhancing understanding and inclusivity within the vibrant Atlanta community. Leveraging her bilingual leadership skills, she is driving transformative changes across both the organization and its congregation. Her efforts align perfectly with Peachtree’s core mission of spreading love, hope, and joy, as she ensures that every individual feels valued and included.

Her dedication to making a difference is evident in her board memberships at Hogar del Niño el Ave Maria, a homeless shelter focused on providing sanctuary for young children, and FERNI, an organization committed to supporting children’s welfare. Passionate about community development, she is also a volunteer at the Atlanta Community Food Bank, Meals On Wheels, North Point Community Church and her own Peachtree Church.

With a diverse background spanning industries that directly impact the livelihood of people, including infrastructure and consumer goods, Ruiz is known for her innovative and empathetic approach to human resources. During her tenure at TYLin International, she led HR operations for a workforce of over 350 employees across the Americas. And at Piedmont National, she oversaw HR functions for sixteen locations in the southeastern region while serving as a Strategic Business Partner to the executive team.

Prior, Ruiz served as an HR Business Partner and Consultant for numerous industry-leading international and national organizations. Her strategic guidance encompassed employee relations, change management, and people engagement, coupled with tactical support for compensation, benefits, and software.

Ruiz has cultivated a global perspective, having gained valuable professional and educational experience in her home country of Puerto Rico during the formative years of her career. She holds an MBA and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the Universidad Interamericana de PR, complemented by studies at the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez.

As a dedicated Reiki practitioner, Ruiz is committed to the holistic betterment of both individuals and organizations. This holistic approach harmonizes her spiritual practices and maternal influences with practical HR solutions, embodying her commitment to nurturing not only the physical but also the spiritual well-being of people and organizations.
