As the leader of one of Bain & Company’s largest offices, Shehorn guides a team of over 800 professionals to deliver top-tier management consulting services to a diverse roster of international clients, ranging from Fortune 500 powerhouses to emerging businesses.
Over her 15-year tenure leading the top-three consulting firm, Shehorn has transformed the organization by optimizing outcomes for her team’s global portfolio while cultivating a culture of equitable benefits and opportunities across the company’s 40-country locations.
Shehorn champions the philosophy that a company’s culture directly influences its outcomes. She is committed to fostering positive and diverse cultures by implementing intentional strategies to develop organizational cultures that prioritize people development and well-being, ultimately driving superior results for all stakeholders. Shehorn boasts a successful record in orchestrating change management initiatives, bolstering utilization, revenue growth, recruiting, retention, and promotion, while leading global training and recruitment endeavors for Bain’s 65 offices around the world.
In an effort to make a significant impact within sectors like consumer goods and manufacturing, Shehorn pioneered the “Women in Chemicals” affinity group at Bain & Company, inspiring the ascendancy of female leadership within the industry. She also serves as a board member for Women Employed, empowering women to reach for leadership roles at the highest level, and chairs the DEI Committee for the Civic Consulting Alliance, advocating for cause-based initiatives and decisions that hold organizations accountable for their social impact.
Shehorn is motivated by leading others to overcome challenges, and is inspired by those her solutions impact. At Bain, she was instrumental in expanding Bain’s parental leave policy to offer paid leave to all parents. And was recognized for her contributions by Working Mother Magazine when they named her the Working Mother of the Year in 2017.
Shehorn’s impact has been felt by thousands of clients over the last two decades. While focusing on growth strategy, performance improvement, supply chain optimization, and merger integration, Shehorn has propelled strategic initiatives centered around sustainability and business impact, while leading due diligence for private equity firms.
Her professional journey began at Deloitte Consulting, where she served as a Consultant for four years. Her academic background, which includes a Bachelor of Science in Management from Boston College and an MBA with a focus on Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management from the globally renowned University of Chicago – Booth School of Business, has been instrumental in equipping her with the capacity to operate effectively across diverse industries. And her ability to consistently innovate and propel growth for those around her, make her a transformative figure in and out of the workplace.
