As an internationally recognized Legal Director at Google, Rosie Lipscomb is pivotal in defending Google’s position in global antitrust matters. Liaising with regulators all over the world, Lipscomb embodies corporate integrity, championing a future where responsibility and innovation coexist.

Her leadership fuses a proactive approach—ensuring that every product, venture, and novel technology aligns with antitrust standards and Google’s core principles—with an unwavering dedication to retrospectively addressing actions transparently and ethically.  

Lipscomb spent the first decade of her Google career as Competition Counsel, navigating the nuances of global competition laws and articulating Google’s perspectives to key decision-makers. She has also spent over a decade serving on the editorial board of the Antitrust Law Journal.

Prior to Google, Lipscomb honed her expertise as an associate at a prominent global law firm, delving deep into antitrust law and advocating before courts and regulatory bodies. And while working at the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, she played a role in prosecuting genocide with the United Nations. She’s published articles in the Columbia Law Review, Antitrust Magazine, and the Antitrust Law Journal, among others.

Lipscomb values human-driven decisions, celebrates diverse human narratives, and emphasizes vulnerability and ethics in decision-making. 

Her tenure with the Peace Corps deeply influenced these values and her international outlook on problem-solving. Whether teaching high school girls chemistry in Tanzania or supporting orphanages in Haiti, Lipscomb stands firm in the belief that we are part of a global, interconnected society.

Holding a J.D. from Columbia, an M.A. in International Policy Studies from Stanford, and a B.A. in Chemistry from Princeton, coupled with a foundational upbringing along the Texas-Mexico border, Lipscomb possesses a deep, firsthand understanding of how to bring a diverse perspective to science, public policy, tech, and law.
