While leading sales, growth, and leadership development for Fortune Global 500 technology companies, Stephanie Howard has successfully built inclusive teams to support digital transformation for thousands of diverse client businesses throughout her 20 years of leadership.
She is motivated by the belief that there are valuable solutions to any complex client challenge, and she empowers her team to help connect the dots.
Currently, as Head of Sales at Amazon Web Services (AWS), Howard partners with global, strategic customers across diverse industries to improve their productivity, scalability, security, and access. Her team of technologists and sales leaders supports migrations to the cloud and the powerful features unlocked by the cloud in service of client goals.
As an Area Sales Director at Microsoft, Howard led diverse, cross-functional teams to exceed expectations. And at Salesforce, she was known for her strategic vision and prompt execution. Earlier in her career at Lexmark and Xerox, she also began creating intentionally efficient processes and cultures.
As a mindful leader, Howard’s approach is collaborative, comprehensive, and allows others to feel and be seen. Her ability to assess divergent challenges and needs, strategize for the common good of all stakeholders, and inclusively lead teams towards desired results have made her someone who clients want to work with and who her team wants to work for.
Howard is passionate about contributing to the development of a safe, healthy organizational culture to best empower high-performing teams. She seeks to help everyone win by removing inequitable barriers and blocks for women, Black people, and People of Color, especially in tech.
Howard is a Florida A&M University alum who is living up to the university’s motto: Excellence with Caring. She adds value wherever she goes, always pushing for solutions and always caring about the people they impact. She is a leader of philanthropic efforts and action volunteering at places like Habitat for Humanity and Chicago Cares, both of which have diverse and substantial impacts on communities.
Howard has a proven track record of transforming culture, teams, and businesses by tapping into the power of diversity and inclusion. Yet, beyond sales, she is optimistic about achieving overall success and looks to inspire others to do the same.
She genuinely cares about others and aims to increase understanding and promote safe spaces so others can thrive, live, and work authentically.
