Tammeca Rochester

Tammeca Rochester, a successful serial entrepreneur with global impact, is uplifting underserved communities through transformative entrepreneurship. Her innovative, inclusive solutions ensure access to vital resources, promoting well-being and fostering a sense of belonging for overlooked people around the world.

As CEO and Founder of Harlem Cycle, Rochester has created a welcoming space dedicated to mental, emotional, and physical wellness. Since its establishment in 2016, Harlem’s first and only indoor cycling studio embodies the neighborhood’s vibrant spirit. Rochester’s leadership has propelled the studio to conduct over 12,000 wellness classes, initiate the first Cardio Glamping Retreat, launch the Harlem Fitness Crawl, and gain significant attention and interest from communities around the world.

Drawing on her Jamaican heritage and immigrant journey to Atlanta, Rochester channels the resilient and pioneering spirit of the Harlem neighborhood she calls home. What started as a personal interest in cycling fitness has transformed into a thriving intergenerational community centered on the wellness and excellence of Black people.

Harlem Cycle has garnered recognition in prominent media outlets, including The New York Times, Essence, Bustle, and Women’s Health Mag. And Rochester further amplified her advocacy on the TedxHarlem stage, speaking on holistic wellness for underserved communities. Her organization of community bike rides, hikes, and fun runs, underscores her commitment to increasing access to fitness and nutrition resources for underserved populations globally.

Beyond Harlem, Rochester amplifies her impact through TRG International, with initiatives that extend to community schools in South Africa. As its CEO and Founder, she is dedicated to forging a global network that empowers underserved communities. TRG International is actively engaged in dismantling systemic socioeconomic barriers that young people encounter. The organization does more than provide mentorship; it equips youth with crucial life skills—from financial literacy to ensuring access to education—providing them with the tools essential for overcoming poverty.

Bridging her global outreach with her corporate background, Rochester spent over 10 years with Colgate-Palmolive. Here, she honed her skills in engineering, brand management, and growth strategy. Now, she’s channeling this expertise into supporting diverse entrepreneurs as a board member of Start Small Think Big. This nonprofit champions equity and inclusion in entrepreneurship, specifically targeting BIPOC, women, LGBTQIA+, and other underserved groups, ensuring they have the resources and community to flourish.

Her status as a finalist in numerous pitch competitions and recipient of funding from corporate programs, such as the Famous Amos Initiative and Mastercard Digital Doors Program, underscores her entrepreneurial leadership. These accolades not only mark her personal success but also position Rochester as an influential role model, encouraging others to proactively seek and seize opportunities on their journey to success.

Rochester holds a Masters in Business Administration from New York University Stern School of Business, specializing in Marketing and Entrepreneurship, and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics from Georgia Institute of Technology and Spelman College. Her certifications in Nutrition & Wellness further underscore her dedication to advancing holistic health.

In essence, Rochester is not just contributing to change; she is actively redefining the realms of inclusive wellness and global community development.
